Pentecostal Christians accused this ad of marketing the 'occult' to children.
"Paul Camac is the concerned senior pastor of New Life Centre, Caloundra(Qld) who picked up the challenge to the Heinz Corporation in respect of its sales of the 'Spooky Spaghetti' product. You probably read about it in one of the major newspapers. Reports said that the Heinz company were treating the matter seriously and in a reply to Pastor Camac indicated that the air time advertising was completed and they had no future plans to promote the product."
